| Summary | Status: indeterminate (Category IV), it is a rare and little-studied species. This bat lives in the vast region bounded by western Arabia, northern India, Indochina and Japan. In Central Asia it is found in Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and Kazakstan. Habitat areas are semideserts and foothills. The basic popu-lation is unknown as are limiting factors. It is protected in the Almaty Reserve. |
